Ohio University Engineering Project

Engineering

Pictured left to right are: Nick Reed, Cody Petitt, Marsissa Singley, Eric Hamann and Scott Kostohryz.

Ohio University Engineering students approached us and asked what they could do to help with the Passion Flower production. One of our greatest challenges is cleaning the recycled printing plates that we use in producing the sculptures. They decided to create a machine that would clean the metal and be simple to operate. Pictured are the students that made this happen with the metal cleaning machine they created. They have worked long and hard on this project and we can’t thank them enough for their ingenuity, care and support. Thank you!

Thank You Nationwide Insurance!

Nationwide Insurance held their “Quote for a Cause” Campaign last fall which donated $1 for each insurance quote given to a worthy nonprofit. Nationwide approached theOhio University Alumni Association and asked them to choose a local recipient and they chose Passion Works! It was our pleasure to welcome Nationwide and Alumni Association dignitaries to Passion Works Studio. Thank you to both Nationwide Insurance and the Ohio University Alumni Association for this very generous donation and for their community support.

Welcome Mallory!

MalloryMallory Valentour has been with us for so long that she doesn’t seem like a new employee. After completing two successful internships with us, Mallory has officially joined our team and is an inspiring force to Passion Works artists and staff. Her creativity shines and adds flare to  our window and store displays. She is a friendly and knowledgeable voice for everyone who visits the studio.

Mallory has a Bachelors of Fine Art degree from Ohio University with a minor in Psychology. She has lived in Athens for 23 years and loves to explore different artistic mediums and loves to travel. Her travels have taken her to Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. When asked if she had a favorite artist she replied “That’s like asking if you have a favorite relative!” We did get her to admit that she is inspired by the photographs of Annie Leibovitz. We are inspired by Mallory and are delighted to have her talents on our team.
