Bill Dooley is the featured artist for September. He is both a fantasy and reality illustrator whose art is inspired from his dreams and world travels. Favorite themes include dragons, aliens, mythological characters and persons from other cultures. His images have been translated into the Angels and Tree of Life ceramic tiles and the New Day Sun porcelain necklace. Bill also collaborated on three peace flags created during the Drepung Gomang Monk residency. Buddha's Carousel, Monastery and Monk in the Garden art prints were created as a result of that residency.

Passion Works Artists will showcase their talents at the Open Door Gallery in Columbus at an opening reception on Saturday, August 29th from 4pm-9pm.

Music to Your Eyes, a colorful collection of hand-painted guitars will be on display now through September 22nd as part of the Grandview Art Hop. This monthly celebration of artistic endeavors that takes place the final Saturday of each month. Along with the Passion Works exhibits, art lovers can enjoy performance arts and delicious dining experiences at this family-oriented activity.

Passion Works Studio will host its 3rd Annual Fine Art Sale on Saturday, October 24th from 10am-8pm at the studio’s Gallery Shop. We hope you can come!

Art lovers will be able to peruse an extensive collection of one-of-a-kind paintings and sculptures. Also available, just in time for Halloween, a creative collection of whimsical masks. Get an early start on your holiday shopping list with an original piece of art or one of many well-known products such as Passion Flowers, jewelry and decorative tiles.

Refreshments, door prizes and a raffle will be included in the festivities. Through the production of art, Passion Works creates innovative employment for artists with and without disabilities. All proceeds for the sale will be used to continue arts programming.

Passion Works was delighted to host two vsiting artists from Chile. Daniella Pizarro Torres and Josefina Hevia Riesco. The visit was sponsored by the Ohio Arts Council.

Daniella and Josefina were touring collaborative arts programs in Ohio to learn techniques and practices that would help Flor de Arte, their own program in Chile.

Passion Works recently received a donation from The O’Bleness Foundation. The donation will help continue arts programming for artists with and without disabilities. We would like to thank the O’Bleness Foundation for their generous contribution.

Passion Works was pleased to receive grant monies from the Ohio Arts Council and the Governor’s Office of Appalachia to enhance Passion Works Studio Home Parties. Similar to the concept and structure of other Home Party programs, Passion Works Studio Home Parties are held in individual homes and are led by Home Party Consultants with the purpose of promoting the studio, its artists and products.  Funds from these grants were used to develop support materials to train a network of Home Party Consultants across the United States to lead informative and successful Home Parties. Thank you Ohio Arts Council and the Governor’s Office of Appalachia for your continued support!
