Fred Cremeans, one of the studio’s newest artists, is the featured artist for November. Fred’s love of people and the simple pleasures of life are the themes most often seen in his artwork. Favorite topics range from groups of people and their dwellings to ice cream cones and snowmen. Fred brings a feeling of calmness to the studio with his gentle and kind spirit.

Passion Works is thrilled to have Patty Mitchell, creative founder of Passion Works, in the studio as an Ohio Arts Council Visiting Artist. Patty is leading a two week residency where original works of art are being combined with photos to create new pieces.
Midway through the residency, this is what Patty has to say - “It is great being back at Passion Works. Through this residency we have been working with photography - collaging old and new images. It has been so much fun seeing people respond to this process. The talent and enthusiasm here is amazing. The next step will be taking these images to The Aesthetic Technologies Lab at Ohio University and printing them 10 feet tall! We will print over the break and have the grand opening for the new Passion Works Gallery January 2010.”

32nd Annual Winterfair
Visit Passion Works at booths 409-411 at the 32nd Annual Winterfair at the Ohio State Fairgrounds Dec. 4th, 5th and 6th. More than 400 artists and gourmet food vendors from across the country will offer a variety of high quality art pieces and delicious food choices. Come see what’s new at Passion Works in 2009 and enjoy our traditional year-round items as well. Admission for the entire day is $7, children 12 and under are free.
Shoppers looking for unique gifts this holiday season are in luck. Passion Works will be hosting a Holiday Open House Saturday December 12th 10am-5pm to showcase its latest items. Leave the department store stress behind and enjoy a day in the studio. You will find gifts with that special charm you’re looking for. Browse items such as holiday ornaments, Passion Flowers and one-of-kind birdhouses and paintings. Pewter jewelry will be offered at a “buy one, get one free” special.
