Passion Works will initiate its new space by hosting Ohio Arts Council Visiting Artist Melissa Godoy as she leads a 10-day filmmaking residency with Passion Works Artists beginning March 30th. Melissa has been working as a filmmaker for 23 years on projects ranging from award-winning documentaries to 30-second commercial spots. Her most current work includes a documentary about creative aging narrated by Walter Cronkite. Melissa will be working with Passion Works Artists to explore all aspects of filmmaking including building the story, filming techniques and editing. Passion Works Artists have expressed an interest in seeing their images come alive and we know Melissa will be just the person to show them how this can happen through stop motion animation. Melissa will be in the studio every Monday and Tuesday for the next 5 weeks. Please stop by and join in the fun.
