 Marsha Washburn is the featured Passion Works Studio Artist for the month of April. Marsha is a delight to work with. She always enters the studio with a smile on her face and asks everybody how they are doing. Her art is reflective of her cheerful nature. Marsha is known for her garden pictures, full of colorful and smiling flowers and monkeys. Her “skinny monkey” was the inspiration for the title of the studio’s first magazine, The New Skinny Monkey Magazine, which includes a postcard with her monkey image. Her artwork can be seen at the upcoming CD release party where her flowers are incorporated into a large painting that hangs as a stage backdrop.

 Passion Works Studio’s second CD, “My Little Pancake Button” will be celebrated at a CD Release Party Saturday, April 5th 6-8:30 pm at Arts/West in Athens. Passion Works Studio Artists and Hocking College students have been writing poetry together since 2000. Local musicians transformed their writings into songs and will perform the pieces at the CD Release Party. The Factory Street Dancers & Moving Parts will also be performing and new works of art from the studio will be on display. Admission is free. CD’s will be available for purchase at the event.

 Passion Works Wall sculptures can be viewed at the Coolville Public Library starting April 8. The show will be on view through the month of April.
Passion Works Studio also has an extensive collection that can be viewed year round. Visit the studio gallery shop Monday through Friday 9-6 or Saturday 11-5. |

Kate Gorman has been chosen as this year’s OAC Visiting Artist. Kate is a fiber artist who uses collage techniques to create murals. She has worked with Passion Works in the past creating the full size quilt, Winter Dreaming of Spring. This very popular image is now featured as a greeting card. Kate will be in the studio for 2 weeks beginning April 14th and will focus on sculptural pieces that blend the artwork of Passion Works Artists with her innovative technique and vision. We are excited to be working with such a talented artist!

 Passion Works Studio is currently seeking individuals interested in becoming Home Party Consultants. A Home Party Consultant is an independent business owner who promotes Passion Works Studio, its artists and product line in the homes of hostesses who sponsor a Home Party. The Home Party Consultant leads the Home Party through a short presentation, answers any questions the hostess or guests may have, assists the guests with their orders and ultimately works with the hostess to distribute the orders.
