Mid-September – All Things Coffee - A major coffee themed exhibition at Donkey Coffee, exact opening date pending.

September 28 – Passion Works Funky Formal Fine Art Auction - Iconic, closely guarded Passion Works art will be auctioned off for the first time ever. Artwork includes the “Winter Dreaming of Spring” quilt, Howling Wolf(s), peace flags made with Tibetan Monks and much more! Join us for dinner or come just for the auction. Special Thanks to the Ohio University Inn for providing us such an elegant space at no charge and to Paul Harper who has volunteered his services as auctioneer.

October 17 – It Came from Outer Space - Passion Works Sci-Fi exhibition in the Passion Works Gallery.

Not only is Nancy Haines fun and giddy but she is an awesome artist as well! Nancy has worked with Chris Biester for quite a while at ATCO on Passion Works Open Thursdays and now we are very pleased to have her attending Passion Works contributing great art. Biester says “she’s hard to keep up with due to her always having new ideas” and when asked what stands out the most about Nancy, Christine Miles says “Sense of humor and full of fun…she keeps us grinning. “Nancy is what Passion Works is all about…great artists who choose to be here, who thrive in a creative environment and enjoy every minute of it. Congratulations Nancy Haines, Passion Works Artist of the Month. You truly deserve it!

The “No Strings Attached/Bringing Art to Life” exhibition at the Athens County Public Library was a huge success! Ten painted guitars that were made in preparation for this exhibition sold before they even made it out the door. Painted guitars, drawings, paintings and quilts all sold. Library patrons loved this exhibition. Library staff expressed that it was one of the most exciting shows ever. Special thanks to Lanna Galloway and all the staff at the Athens Library and to Frank McDermott of Blue Eagle Music for donating so many of the guitars to us!
