Cake Auction Recap
The 1st Annual Passion Works Cake Fight and Auction was a huge success! With the support of
The Market on State,
Power 105,
Frontier Communications,
O’Bleness Memorial Hospital,
Athens Inflatables and
Kroger along with the participation of fifty local businesses and organizations, we had a fun filled day highlighted by the performance of the ATCO Vocal Choir kicking things off in the morning and the cake fight closing things out in the afternoon. Special thanks to our sponsors mentioned above as well as McGruff the Crime Dog and the Athens County Sheriffs Department.
This event would not have been possible without our sponsors, or participants and the promotional and volunteer efforts of Tau Beta Sigma and Delta Sigma Pi. Thanks to all the businesses, schools, non-profits and Ohio University groups that took part!
Oh what fun it was to pie (in order of appearance) Eric Young, Mayor Paul Weihl, his opponent Randy Morris, Butch Withem, Doug Mitchell and the colorful Chris Beister…talk about good sports!
The 2nd Annual Passion Works Cake Fight and Auction will be in the spring and then every spring thereafter. Our 1st was incredible, thanks to you! Get your wheels turning…a lot of people said they want to be part of our next one and one thing to remember is that if you want to be remembered you have to stand out. See you in the spring!
